Will perform in Ionad Cois Locha on Monday 12th July, along with her band, Boo Hewerdine [guitar,,vocals] Alan Kelly[Accordion]

Winner of a “Best female singer” BRIT Award and Famous for her smash hit song  “Perfect”with Fairground Attraction, she performs a much wider scope of music from various genres.  In 2003, she recorded her album of material by Robert Burns, with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, leading to rave reviews. She also performed re-arranged 1930s standards, with Jools Holland. She previously collaborated with Holland on the single “Waiting Game.
Love is the Way, produced by Reader herself, was released on 13 April 2009. In early 2010, On  Irish language album Ceol ‘10 Súil Siar She sang an Irish version of the Fairground Attraction song “Perfect” called “Foirfe”
Awarded an MBE for outstanding contributions to the arts.

D’éirigh le Doimnic Corn Uí Riada a thabhairt na bhaile go Gaoth Dobhair i mbliana agus beidh se i mbun ceoil i gcuideachta roinnt de bhuaiteoirí eile an Oireachtais ó cheantar Ghaoth Dobhair, Cloich Cheann Fhaola agus na Rosa.

An evening of traditional music and song featuring a selection of competition winners from Oireachtas 2009 among them Doimnic Mac Giolla Bhríde, Corn Uí Riada winner .

The renowned sean-nós singer Doimnic Mac Giolla Bhríde from Na Doirí Beaga, Co. Donegal stole the show at this year’s Oireachtas competition with his excellent performances on the night and brought Corn Uí Riada back to his native Gaoth Dobhar.

Seamus Begley comes from Baile nGall or Ballydavid on the Dingle peninsula and is a legend in Irish music. His partnership with the incredible Australian/Irish guitarist+producer Steve Cooney led to arguably the most exciting duet in Irish music ever and the album “Meiteal” is still considered a classic worldwide. Seamus has a voice from the gods and his accordeon style has been copied by many box players for its remarkable energy, soul and power which many people believe is unmatched in traditional Irish music.

Tim Edey at 29 years old is regarded by many as one of the finest guitarists+multi-instrumentalists in the Celtic music scene having played, toured and recorded with most of the biggest names in the Celtic music scene including; Michael McGoldrick, Lunasa, Mary Black, Sharon Shannon, Frankie Gavin, Session A9, Capercaillie’s Donald Shaw+Charlie McKerron, Altan, Steve Cooney. Tim is currently playing with the Sharon Shannon band, and plays in a duet with Isobel Crowe and regularly with Michael McGoldrick, Brendan Power, Lucy Randall and Charlie McKerron.

Kieran Goss, the acclaimed singer/songwriter whom country legend Don Williams calls “one of the most gifted performers around today”  Will perform an intimate concert in “Ionad Cois Locha” as part of a nationwide tour to celebrate the  release of his new album, ‘I’ll Be Seeing You’.
