Tá trí sraith claracha deanta ag Tionscnamh Lugh, i gcomhair le Scannan Dobharchu, do TG4.
Ceol Cois Locha, the first television series which features Ireland’s top traditional groups, was first broadcast on Telifis na Gaeilge at 8.00p.m. on Wednesday February 19 1997. The series is recorded live at Ionad Cois Locha , situated between Errigal mountain and the beautiful Dunlewey Lakes, and features the cream of Irish musicians and singers.
Ceol Cois Locha was a joint production between the Gaoth Dobhair based independent television company Scannain Dobharchu and Tionscnamh Lugh.
The first programme featured the wonderful Galway based musician Mairtín O Connor & Chatterbox . The other musicians in the group are the multi-instrumentalists Martin Murray from Waterford and Gary O Briaín from Clare, jazzy Dubliner and guitar player extraordinaire Jimmy Faulker and ace bass player James Blennerhasset from Sligo.
A second series has since been made and plans are underway for the recording of a third in November 1998.
