Tionscnamh Lugh have released 3 compilation CDs featuring some of the best local musicans and singers from Gaoth Dobhair, na Rossa agus Cloich Cheann Fhaola in Donegal. The first album, entitled Trad Tráthnóna, was recorded live in Ionad Cois Locha, Dún Luiche, Co Donegal by Manús Lunny of the seminal Scottish Group Capercaille, a sometimes local resident, during the weekly Trad Tráthnóna sessions in August 1997.
Some of the artists have already been recorded, others would not have had the opportunity, had it not been for this album.
All profits from the sale of this CD were used to finance another such recording using more local musicans from Donegal, all CDs are available by contacting 086 6050110.
